Calendar feed for Google, Apple, and Outlook
Claver publishes your job schedule as a private iCal subscribe URL, so the calendar app you already live in shows the day without anyone opening Claver. It is one way, read only, refreshes about every hour, and is included on Crew at $39/mo.
What is in the calendar feed
Every scheduled job becomes one calendar event. Here is what each event carries and where the boundaries sit.
| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Event title | The service, then the customer name |
| Time | The scheduled date and time, ending after the job duration, defaulting to one hour when no duration is set |
| Location | The job address, so the calendar app can navigate to it |
| Description | Customer, phone, job status, total, and notes |
| Coverage window | Jobs from 30 days back to six months ahead, up to 500 events, cancelled jobs excluded |
| Refresh | The feed asks calendar apps to re-fetch about every hour |
| Per-tech feeds | A feed can be filtered to one technician so a crew member subscribes only to their own stops |
The feed URL is the credential. Anyone holding it can read the schedule, so treat it like a password and regenerate it if it leaks.
How to connect the calendar feed
You generate a feed link once and subscribe from whichever calendar you use. Nothing is installed and no Google account is connected to Claver.
- Open Settings, then the Calendar tab. The card is titled Calendar Sync and starts out badged Not Connected.
- Click Generate Calendar Link. Claver mints a private token and shows it as Your Calendar Feed URL, with a Copy button next to it.
- Pick your calendar app. Use Add to Google Calendar, Add to Apple Calendar, or Add to Outlook, or paste the URL into any app that accepts an iCal subscription.
- Regenerate the link if it gets out. Regenerate Link issues a new URL and kills the old one. Anyone still on the old link will need to resubscribe.
One way, on purpose
This is a publish feed, not a two-way sync. Jobs scheduled in Claver appear in your calendar. Events you create in Google or Outlook do not come back into Claver and will not create jobs. That keeps the dispatch board the single source of truth for what your crew is actually doing, and it means nobody can accidentally reschedule a customer by dragging a block in Gmail.
Refresh timing is set by the calendar app, not by Claver. The feed asks for an hourly re-fetch, and Google in particular can be slower than that. If you need a change to show up in seconds, look at the schedule in Claver rather than in the mirror.
Which plan includes it
The calendar feed is part of Crew at $39/mo, flat, for up to 8 users, alongside dispatch, GPS tracking, route optimization, two-way SMS, and QuickBooks Online sync. There is no per-user calendar charge.
