What a plumbing estimate should include

A complete estimate sets clear expectations before work starts and gives the customer everything they need to say yes with confidence.

  • Customer and job site details. Name, phone, service address, and the location of the issue (which bathroom, which fixture, which cleanout)
  • Scope of work. Exactly what is being installed, repaired, or replaced, in plain language the customer can read
  • Itemized labor and materials. Line-by-line pricing for labor hours, fixtures, pipe, fittings, solder or PEX, and any required permits
  • Code and permit notes. Any code requirements the work must meet (venting, trap placement, backflow preventer) plus permit fees if the job needs one
  • Warranty information. Coverage on labor (typically 1 year) and on installed fixtures or parts (often longer, set by the manufacturer)
  • Validity period. An expiration date on the quoted price, since material costs move with copper, PEX, and fixture pricing
  • Cleanup and haul-away. Whether old fixtures, water heaters, or pipe are removed from the site and any disposal fees
  • Payment schedule. Deposit required to schedule, balance due on completion, and accepted payment methods

Keep the numbers when the job is booked

Inside Claver the same estimate becomes the quote you send, and the quote becomes the invoice you get paid on, so nobody retypes a price between the driveway and the bank.
