What goes into a pressure washing price
Five inputs separate a professional pressure washing price from a rough guess. The calculator handles all of them.
- Surface type. Different surfaces require different pressures, tips, and dwell times; driveways are fastest, decks and fences take more care and often need pre-treatment
- Square footage. The primary driver of job time; enter the actual area to be cleaned rather than the total property size
- Base rate per sq ft. Auto-fills from the surface type but you can override it; your local market and job conditions may push the rate higher or lower than the default
- Chemical and cleaner cost. Bleach, surfactant, and specialty deck cleaners vary widely in cost; enter the actual product cost per job
- Travel and second story. Travel covers fuel and drive time; the second story surcharge reflects longer wand setup and additional safety time on elevated surfaces

Pressure washing pricing calculator FAQ
How much should I charge for pressure washing per square foot?
Typical rates range from $0.10 to $0.25 per square foot depending on the surface. Driveways and sidewalks run on the lower end at $0.10 to $0.18 because they are flat and fast to cover. Decks and fences run higher at $0.15 to $0.25 because they require more detailed work, angled spraying, and sometimes pre-treatment. House siding falls in between at $0.10 to $0.20.
How do I price a whole-house pressure wash?
Measure the square footage of exterior wall surface (perimeter times average wall height), then apply your rate per square foot. Add a second-story surcharge of $50 to $100 if you need a longer wand or ladder work. Factor in chemical cost and travel. Most single-family homes run between $200 and $600 for a full exterior wash.
What is the going rate to pressure wash a driveway?
A standard two-car concrete driveway of 500 to 700 square feet typically costs $80 to $150. Larger driveways or those with oil stains, mold, or heavy discoloration may run $150 to $250 due to extra dwell time and chemical treatment. Always set a minimum job fee to cover your drive time.
How long does it take to pressure wash 1,000 square feet?
At average production rates, a skilled operator with a surface cleaner attachment can clean 500 to 800 square feet of flat concrete per hour. Open surfaces go faster; textured or heavily soiled surfaces go slower. A 1,000 square foot driveway typically takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours including setup, rinsing, and pack-up.
Can Claver schedule pressure washing jobs and send before-and-after photo reports?
Yes. Claver field technicians can attach before and after photos to any job, which are stored on the customer record. You can send the customer an automatic job summary with photos when the work is marked complete. It is a simple way to show value and reduce callback disputes.
